This past Tuesday I headed over to the A&R Music Bar in the Arena District to catch the Lemon Twigs with opener Josephine Network. I have to say this was a show I had been looking forward to for a while and it did not disappoint.

If you have not been to the A&R Music Bar it is located at 391 Neil Avenue right above The Basement and next to KEMBA Live!. The venue is small and intimate and the perfect setting for the show.

Lost Weekend Records celebrated its 23rd year in business at Natalie’s in Grandview. The store has always been central to the local Columbus music scene.

I am back from another great Nelsonville Music Festival. I have been attending this festival since 2016 and each year it gets better. The folks at Stuarts Opera House did it again and put on one great festival. You can truly tell that the Stuart’s staff have a true love for the arts, music, and community. I truly need to make a point of attending other events at this historic venue. This years festival was once again at the Snow Fork Event Center.

Last night , Wednesday August 30th 2023, I got a chance to check out Weyes Blood and Nick Hakim. Weyes Blood (Natalie Mering) been around a lot longer than I thought, She has been recording since 2003 and her first Columbus Show was at Spacebar in 2016. She has definitely matured as an artist has a great stage presence and put on a great show.
