If you’re waiting until the last minute to buy tickets for The Lone Bellow/Anderson East show at the Lincoln Theatre on Tuesday night, you might want to reconsider as not many seats remain for the show.
The Lone Bellow formed in Brooklyn just a few years ago and has quickly been gathering a following in the alt-country/Americana world with it’s folk-based sound and three-part harmonies. The trio’s second album, Then Came the Morning, was released early in 2015 and was produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner.
Opener Anderson East is perhaps my favorite discovery of 2015. The Nashville-based singer (real name: Mark Anderson) released the stunning Delilah a few months ago and the kid’s vocals are something to behold – a mix of Joe Cocker’s and Sam Cooke’s. Anderson East performed this summer at the Paper City Music Festival in Chillicothe which is where I first heard of him (unfortunately, didn’t make it to the festival) and I’ve been waiting for him to show up in Columbus.
Tickets, if you can get ’em, are $21.50 and $26.50.
