Four different Pink Floyd tributes are hitting Columbus this year. Having never seen any of these acts, I don’t have a recommendation if you’re trying to narrow it down to one or two but all are well-respected and regulars on the tour circuit.

Feb. 29 – Classic Albums Live: Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon – Lincoln Theater

Classic Albums Live is a concert series based in Canada with a number of different configurations, many of which are on the road at the same time covering classic albums by the likes of Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Rolling Stones.

March 28 – Wish You Were Here – 25 Years of Celebrating Pink Floyd (1995 – 2020) – Newport Music Hall

The Cleveland-based tribute act has been performing Floyd classics for 25 years throughout Ohio and the Midwest, often times highlighting a specific album. This show at the Newport will span Floyd’s recording career. While this is the only Columbus date currently on the calendar, don’t be surprised if Wish You Were Here returns later this year as they are pretty frequent visitors to the Newport.

May 1 – PIGS: Canada’s Pink Floyd – Lincoln Theater

This tribute act formed in 2008 and spends much of their time playing ’70s era Floyd classics across Canada. The In The Flesh tour will  celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Wall though you can expect to hear songs from other albums as well.

July 17 – Brit Floyd – Echoes 2020 – Express Live

Billing themselves as “The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Show”, the UK’s Brit Floyd is known to put on quite a spectacle – it’s as much about the staging as it is the songs and the band fills the stage with musicians, not missing a step in recreating the sounds of Pink Floyd.
