Eh, touring the midwest in the dead of winter probably doesn’t phase Canadian bands like The Dirty Nil and Single Mothers and as long as snowy/icy conditions don’t leave them stranded in Detroit, the two will heat up the comfy confines of Double Happiness ($8 – $10) on Friday night.

Both bands embody a brash, punk-ish attitude (not unlike fellow Canadians Fucked Up, Metz, Greys, etc.) with The Dirty Nil swerving towards the pop lane and Single Mothers barreling down the pent-up rage and frustration speedway.

Locals Nuclear Moms, Nude Art and Highwire Kicks are also on the bill – doors at 7pm, show starts at 8pm, over by midnight according to the Double Happiness website. BRING EARPLUGS!
