Been a while, huh? Must take a pretty special show to give Columbus Calling a kick in the pants and this might be the one. As recommended by Columbus Calling contributor Blair Hook, Andrew Combs brings his ’70s AM rock-meets-Nashville sounds to Rumba Cafe, opening for The Apache Relay. Combs has spent some time recently touring with Justin Townes Earle if that gives you any indication of the company he keeps. Sounds alright to me.
“Nothing to Lose” from Combs’ sophomore release (All These Dreams, due in stores in early March) has been my jam all week, can’t wait to hear it live.
