Should be fun to see how many band members The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die can fit onto the performance stage at Used Kids (2500 Summit St.) when they play an intimate, stripped-down set in the legendary record store. The band – who released Always Foreign (Epitaph Records) at the end of September – currently features seven members though, as their Facebook page states, the lineup is “constantly expanding and contracting. recording and live performance lineups vary.”
If the name sounds familiar, it’s because The World is a Beautiful Place … played Ace of Cups last April and Promowest Fest in July. Check out Kim Rottmayer’s photos from the 2016 AoC show.
The free in-store performance is scheduled to start at 2pm, no ticket required. If you want to catch the band in their fully plugged-in glory, they’ll be headlining Ace of Cups later that evening with Rozwell Kid and Slow Mass. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $15.
