Flint, Michigan’s about a four-hour drive from Columbus. Not exactly a quick drive but not bad for an artist born-and-raised on highway country-rock anthems. Whitey Morgan might as well sublease an apartment in Columbus, as often as he and the 78’s roll through town (and, hey, we’d love to have him take up temporary residence).
Check out “I Ain’t Drunk” (MP3) from Whitey’s 2010 self-titled album.
Whitey and band return to Woodlands Tavern on Friday night for a 9pm show. Tickets are $10 (you can pay at the door) and local alt-country twangsters The Glen Echoes open.
