This Monday is definitely not going to suck. Or Monday night at least. With the forecast in Columbus calling for sunshine and near 70 degree temperatures during the day on Monday, we’re also seeing a 100% chance of some heavy rock at Skully’s that night as Torche and Nothing roll into town with Wrong opening the show.

Torche are touring on their recently released Restarter release which ups the melodic rock ante of “Harmonicraft” without sacrificing any of the sludgy riffs or power they’ve come to be known for.

Prior to their performance is a band I’ve been anxiously awaiting for a Columbus appearance from, Nothing, touring on one of my favorite albums of last year Guilty of Everything. For the uninitiated, Nothing deals with a heavy shoegaze sound that’s also keeps the amps cranked but doesn’t lose sight of melody. With Spring feeling fully sprung in Columbus this past weekend it’s hard not to feel like this show is the official spring concert season kick off. Tickets available via ticketweb with the show being presented by Celebrity Etc. Doors at 6:30, all ages, Wrong opens the night.
