For Thanksgiving, my family decided to get out of Columbus and start a new tradition. We found a VRBO deep in the woods in Amish country in central Ohio, way off the beaten path and literally down an unpaved road. It was nice and relaxing and, in the evening, so quiet compared to the Columbus suburb we live in where we can hear traffic on 315. It was also really, really dark at night with a very clear and unobstructed view of the stars.
When I started watching Dave Buker and the Historians’ new video for “Stubborn Blood,” I was thinking, “Pretty crazy how the house they pull up to in the start of the video looks like the house we stayed at during Thanksgiving.” But, my MIND WAS BLOWN when the band entered the house because IT WAS THE SAME HOUSE.
Dave Buker and the Historians formed in 2010 and have released 3 full-length albums and 2 EPs, all of which can be streamed and purchased at Bandcamp.com. “Stubborn Blood” will appear on the band’s new album scheduled for release in early 2023.
