In the midst of a weeklong tour, Indigo Wild returns to Columbus for a homecoming show on Friday night at Double Happiness. Joining them are friends She Bears and Chicago’s The Kickback. The show is all ages. Doors are at 8pm and cover is $7.
I was turned onto the super-fantastic, pop-driven rock of The Kickback last fall when they came to town to share a bill with She Bears and Fingers. Their publicist really wanted Piper (my daughter, and host of Kids Interview Bands) to talk to the guys and while I was co-hosting a house show (Alex Dezen of The Damnwells at Columbus Calling photographer Kim Rottmayer’s house) later that evening, swinging by Rumba wasn’t a big deal so we agreed to do it. Good thing, as Piper says – of the 101 interviews she’s done – The Kickback was her favorite band to talk to!
