Not like we’re begging for snow in Columbus in February but we won’t turn away the Snocore tour set to hit the Newport Music Hall on Wednesday. The tour – mainly featuring bands that fall somewhere between alternative and hard rock – got it’s start in 1996 with Sublime, Guttermouth, Less Than Jake and Skankin Pickle on the inaugural run and counts bands like Halestorm, Primus, blink-182, System of a Down, Incubus, The Black-Eyed Peas (pre-Fergie), Fear Factory, Helmet, Seether and Static-X as alumni.
This year’s lineup is headlined by Flyleaf and features Rock on the Range alumni Adelitas Way and Framing Hanley, along with Fit for Rivals, on the undercard. Tickets are $22.50 in advance, $25 day of show. Doors open at 7pm and with a stacked bill, wouldn’t be surprised if Fit for Rivals (not to be missed!) go on at 7:30.
Here’s Piper (spoiler alert – my kid) from Kids Interview Bands interviewing Fit for Rivals last year when they performed at the A&R Music Bar.
