This weekend is pretty light in terms of concerts as opposed to Halloween parties and cover shows. For those of you still looking for a different brand of concert then look no further. FRIDAY SHOWS (30TH) Insane Clown Posse, P.O.D. (Hip/Hop) Insane Clown Posse is notoriously “insane” live. Their concerts produce some of the rowdiest and aggressive environments. Some of their gimmicks include chainsaws on stage, fires, and lighting off liter bottles of Faygo (soda). This show will be twisted and appropriate for a Halloween weekend to say the least. Tuesday: The Lone Bellow / Anderson East at the Lincoln Theatre

If you’re waiting until the last minute to buy tickets for The Lone Bellow/Anderson East show at the Lincoln Theatre on Tuesday night, you might want to reconsider as not many seats remain for the show. The Lone Bellow formed in Brooklyn just a few years ago and has quickly been gathering a following in the alt-country/Americana world with it’s folk-based sound and three-part harmonies. Musicians, music appreciators, and night life junkies, here is your weekly guide to the Columbus music scene. Whether you’ve got a rock n’ roll heart or a craving for heavy EDM drops, there is something for you. Check out what Columbus has to offer you this weekend. ROCK Friday is kickin’ off the weekend with some in your face metal punk, blues, and summertime funk. Barbed Wire Dolls are playing the Ace of Cups with Betty Machete and The Whiteouts. This night is gears up towards the Barbed Wire Dolls’ headlining act which is reminiscent of the Misfits angry attitude. Patrick Sweany and his band are holding their album release party with Lilly Hiatt at Rumba Café. This will undoubtedly be a good show to catch. The Patrick Sweany Band plays some suave blues rock, and Lilly Hiatt is the daughter of an accomplished songwriter ensuring some high quality music. The Pimps of Joytime and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong are throwing in back with some summertime vibes at the Park Street Tavern. Be ready to get funky with these bands. Lastly on Friday, check out the Andy Shaw Band at Keystone Pub. These guys play some Zeppelin like rock, and who doesn’t appreciate that? Saturday is another big day for rock in Columbus.
